Water Eductors

Water Eductors are simple devices that operate on the basis of the jet Venturi principle.

Water Eductors typically have 3 connections

  • 1. High Pressure(HP) Water Inlet
  • 2. Suction
  • 3. Outlet
Water Eductors

During operation Water Eductors are able to create a pressure differential across its Suction and outlet. Water Eductors utilize the energy in pumped Water entering from the HP Water inlet to create this pressure differential.

This enables Water Eductors to be used for creating vacuum / low pressure at its suction. The low pressure allows the Water Eductors to suck liquids through the suction. The suction liquid mixes with the HP Water inside the eductor and gets pumped out from the Outlet. The discharge contains the mixture of HP Water and suction liquids.

This phenomenon allows the Water Eductors to be used for sucking and pumping water, chemicals, acids, alkalis, slurries, sludges, etc

The amount of suction liquid sucked and the head difference between Suction and Outlet depends upon the size of the Water Eductor and the internal construction.

Further the operating flows can be controlled by regulating the HP Water, Suction & Outlet Pressures.
