Sludge Ejectors
Sludge Ejectors are Liquid Ejectors that operate on the basis of the jet Venturi principle.
Sludge Ejectors typically have 3 connections
- 1. High Pressure(HP) Liquid Inlet
- 2. Suction (Sludge Inlet)
- 3. Outlet
During operation Sludge Ejectors are able to create a pressure differential across its Suction and outlet. Sludge Ejectors utilize the energy in pumped liquid entering from the HP liquid inlet to create this pressure differential.
This enables Sludge Ejector to be used for creating low pressure at its suction. The low pressure allows the Sludge Ejectors to suck the Sludge through the suction. The sucked Sludge mixes with the HP liquid inside the eductor and gets pumped out from the Outlet. The discharge contains the mixture of HP liquid and Sludge.
This phenomenon allows the Sludge Eductor to be used for sucking and pumping sludges. The mixing of water with the sludge inside the Sludge Eductor also helps to dilute the sludge and makes it more easy to transport
Sludge Ejectors can develop significant head at the outlet which enables Sludge to be pumped across long distances
