Rain water that cannot find a way off the deck, Water from leakages, sanitation system and disposed water is made to collect in this Bilge area and is referred to as Bilge.<br>The bilge area houses tanks for collecting the Bilge and the level of Bilge in these tanks need to be controlled. This enables Bilge Eductors to be started directly even in case of low water levels in Bilge Tanks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bilge lie at the lowermost region in the ship and an high suction lift is a general occurrence. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.crystaltcs.com\/ballast-eductor.php\">Bilge Eductors<\/a><\/strong> are able to handle high suction lifts and often suck water even from a 8m suction lift. This is helpful in removing water from the Bilge even from the lowermost levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Typically the driving water requirement of the Bilge Eductor varies from 3 bar(a) to 12 bar(a) i.e a pump head of 20m to 110m. The required driving water can be easily provided from the onboard Ballast pumps and fire pumps thus requiring no additional infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Benefits of Bilge Eductors in Ballasting Operation<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>\u2022 Capacity to provide high suction lifts helps in stripping the Bilge to the lowermost levels.<br>\u2022 Self-priming nature enables quick start-up.<br>\u2022<strong> Bilge Eductors<\/strong> do not contain any moving parts and have large internal passage areas, hence are not vulnerable to clogging by solid particles.<br>\u2022 As they have no moving parts, maintenance requirements are very less.
